In many ways it is one and the same. Much of the work is an organic expression of what I’m feeling in that space and time disguised in the universal shapes and colors pulled from nature and imagination. For the last couple of years, my inspiration has come from figure drawing, tree roots and plant life. In the newest work I’ve been breaking the traditional rectangle to build shaped and layered constructions. Also new, you’ll find pet portraits reflecting my ongoing love of animals with 10 percent of all proceeds going back to animal rescue. On the lighter side, check out the whimsical work to see some fun illustrations. I love to draw and paint, and my changing interests have resulted in a wide variety of work.
